3 of your favorite board Games from “Back in the day”!!

Hey Hey family!

Remember having sibling or family time back in the day?

Where you played a game and basically had enough people to play any game?

Remember when family participation meant everything?

Those were the days huh?

Fast forward to about 30 years later and there is barely family participation or family time where the family gets together and watch movies or play games. As stated before, cartoons and video engines such as YouTube became the new generation “go to” to learn how to do things, watch music videos and videos on pretty much anything including gaming.

Since we are family!! I though I’d share my favorites with you all week long until I see you Thursday night for the PodRadio chat!!

Hey! Here’s 3 of my favorite games from the 1990’s

Monopoly

Monopoly is actually a great game for when you want to initiate family time. This is one of my favorite games and is also a cheaters paradise!! 😜. What I meant by that is that, I have never played monopoly, and at some point in the game, didn’t catch a person stealing from the bank, properties or cheating in general . 😂. I had my times as well🤪. It is all still fun and funny!!

If you are unfamiliar or have forgotten the basics, monopoly can be played with a maximum of 6 people, and a minimum of 2.

It is a board game with dice, money, houses and property. There are different decks with different cards that gives instructions of what do when you land on a specific space.

It is also possible for a player to get put in jail and pay to get out! Players can also buy houses and sell them as well. Basically monopoly is a board game based on real life living and buying situations.

UNO

Now UNO is a card game played with a maximum of 10 players!! While the lowest amount of players being 2. Players are to basically play all their cards using wild cards, draw fours, draw two, skip reverse etc. Each card other than a card labeled with a number instructs you to do some type of instructions. Mean while all the cards come with a different color as well.

The first player to play all of their cards wins the game with the 500 points. This game is usually technical and it always results to the players going back to the official rules of the game. Beware of cheaters!! 😂

SORRY

The game “Sorry” is pretty much a straight forward game, however The rules of the game were changed in 2013, where “fire” and “ice” were introduced, changing some of the games rules to expand the players moves or options.

The idea of this game is for the players are to get all their pawns home. The first one that does so wins the game. Played with two to four players this game can be played with someone as young as 6 years of age.

This game has you pick from a deck with instructions to follow as well leading players to literally saying the word “sorry”!!🤪

Go figure right??!!??

What were your favorite board and card games??!! Comment below?! Did you play more games that required a console or perhaps arcade games?? Stay tuned for the upcoming blog on arcade games and games that requires a console!! 🤩
